TICKETSAVER. An APP encouraging fans to go to venues.
TicketSaver is a location based mobile app designed to connect people with last minute tickets to live events happening nearby. Using the user’s location, the app identifies concerts, theatre, sport, comedy and other events taking place within a selected radius and starting within approximately the next hour.
When participating venues or event organisers have unsold inventory, they can release those seats at a discounted price through ticketSaver. Eligible users nearby receive a push notification showing the event, venue, start time, distance and special ticket price. From the notification, the user can open the event, select available seats, pay securely and receive a digital ticket within minutes.
The concept creates a win for both sides: venues gain an opportunity to fill otherwise empty seats and generate incremental revenue, while consumers gain access to spontaneous, affordable live experiences.
Simple technical flow
Venue has unsold seats → inventory API sends availability → ticketSaver checks time and nearby users → eligible users receive notification → user selects tickets → seats temporarily held → payment processed → digital ticket issued → venue scans ticket.
From a technology perspective, the platform would likely consist of a native or cross-platform mobile app, a cloud-based backend, a geolocation/proximity service, a real time event and inventory database, push-notification infrastructure, payment processing, and APIs connecting ticketSaver with venue and ticketing systems.
A particularly important design principle would be privacy by design: users opt into location-based alerts, can select their preferred radius and event categories, and location information is used primarily to determine eligibility for nearby offers rather than creating an unnecessary permanent record of their movements.
